Lawn Watering

You are responsible for watering your own lawn.  Use the water from the Association faucet.  The units which have two water meters, of which one is for the Association faucet, will receive a request to read this meter quarterly and should send the reading to the city water department OR the City will drive by and collect the information automatically if your meter has been changed.  Payment for this water will be made by the Association.

Do not use the Association faucet for your personal use.  If an Association faucet has an excessive bill, the Association reserves the right to require the two homeowners who share the faucet to pay a portion of the bill.

The City of Coon Rapids has an Odd/Even watering ban effective June 1 through August 31.  Automatic sprinklers are exempt if on an every other day cycle.

Some people have installed automated sprinkler systems to water their laws.  These sprinkler systems are not serviced nor maintained by the Association.  Purging of these pipes in the fall is to be scheduled by the homeowner and is at the expense of the owners of the sprinkler system.

Outside faucets are not frost proof.  Valves for shutting off the outside water are in the utility room near the ceiling and the water meter.  To avoid damage to interior walls, please turn the water off before the first heavy frost.  Damaged caused will be the homeowner’s responsibility.
