Why an Association?

The Forest Oaks Homeowners Association was incorporated in 1982 for the purpose of providing outside maintenance for all townhouses in our development and maintaining a somewhat uniform external appearance of the development in an effort to help maintain curb appeal and property values.  For this purpose we collect monthly dues and contract with various vendors for our services such as garbage collection, lawn care, snow plowing, maintenance, etc.  We also try to establish escrow funds for future expenses such as exterior painting, roof replacement, siding, and driveway renovations.  The escrow of funds is not always easy with the increasing cost of continuing maintenance and repairs.  In essence, the homeowners pool funds to share in the expense of maintenance and repairs.
